With up to 55 families (350+ people) in need of potable water in the rural community of San Jose Lote 19 in Guatemala, Aggies Without Limits made it a priority to secure the construction and design of a potable water system as our 2019 international project. This is the first time AWL has ever created a water distribution system and the process did not come easy. Despite numerous hardships and obstacles, AWL persevered and finished the project ahead of schedule. With overwhelming support from the community, the project was finished in just under three weeks complete with a reservoir tank, break pressure tank, and pipelines connected to 11 tap stands around the community. What was once an 8-kilometer hike round trip for water is now easily and equally accessible to all families in San Jose Lote 19. This project is called Aggies for Agua.
